Participation in DOT auctions is a privilege, not a right, which may be suspended or revoked in the sole discretion of the DOT for failure of a bidder to complete a transaction, or any other conduct that disrupts the auction process.
Aloha and E Komo Mai!
Welcome to the Hawaii Department of Transportation, Airports Division online surplus auctioning system. Members of the public can view and access items through the website, but a user account is required in order to bid on any item. User accounts are free. The winning bidder will be notified by email. The winning bidder has 72 hours to complete the payment by credit card. All sales are final and, there are no refunds.
Each bid is a legal offer to purchase the item subject to auction. Upon the completion of the process, the winning bid constitutes a legal and binding contract to purchase the item. By law, we may pursue legal action to enforce the contract and ask that the court charge you with the court expenses. Alternatively, if we do not receive your payment within seventy-two (72) hours, we may choose to re-auction the item.
By law, lost and surrendered items at Hawaii Airports may be redeemed without charge by the true owner upon showing satisfactory proof of ownership at the lost and found office prior to the conclusion of the auction of that item. Each auction is subject to the right of the true owner to redeem his or her property.
Current employees of the State of Hawaii are not eligible to bid at this auction.
Payment shall be made by credit card. Pick up of items shall be at the Honolulu International Airports - Overseas Parking Structure - Terminal Services - Lost and Found Office from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (Tel. No. 836-6547).
If you do not pick up your item(s) within fourteen days after your payment, the item will be deemed abandoned and re-placed for auction.
The bidding process may be subject to further regulations established from time to time by Hawaii Information Consortium, LLC.
